Manresa was one of our memorable dining experiences. A special evening, which we started off with a fantastic table, great champagne was made even more enjoyable by some friendly and classy hosting and delectable food. Seafood and produce featured heavily and textures and flavors were balanced expertly to wow and delight us.
They started with small bitees and the olive Madelines were savory while the pepper jellyhad a soft and surprising kick to it.
The multi grain cracker was crispy and gave off wonderful flavors of the roasted grains.
The beignets with caviar was luxurious.
The summer clams reminded of the sea and lightened by the acidity of the cornichons and the texture of the tomato jelly.
The dish that i had been dreaming of eating from cookbook wasthe one about to be eaten by us. The into the vegetable garden is a dish starting with soil, having root vegetable components for the root building to leaves, fruits and flowers. Hundreds of harvested ingredients went into it. This was fantastic, with every bite different, every bit playful and was art on a plate.
The abalone was perfect and the tapioca pearls and the roe were interesting textural change.
The strawberry gazpacho was a perfect nod for the summer.
The morels as always were a treat and the poularde was perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The nectarine was presented like a treat and the striped bass was cooked to perfection.
Desserts began with cherries and green tea mousse with lime.
The pickled nectarines and ricotta mousse was our favorite dessert and looked fantastic.
The chocolate and herbs dessert was playful and paired chocolate and herbs in different forms and textures.
We ended with petit fours and were full, satisfied and excited about a fantastic meal experience we had at manresa.
