Description
We use our appe / Aebleskiver pan to make these dutch apple pancakes.

- 1 Apple peeled and diced
- 4 tsp butter
- 1 egg
- 0.5 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour or wheat flour
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- 3 table spoons sugar
- 0.25 cup maple syrup
- 1 to 2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1 to 2 tsp confectioners Sugar
Instructions
- Melt 2 tsp butter in a pan and add peeled diced apples to cook covered on low-medium heat stirring every now and then till soft
- whisk on whole egg and add the flour to combine along-with whisking the milk, sugar, vanilla paste and pinch of salt
- When the apple are done add them to the batter
- To the pan add 1 tsp butter and heat on medium till foamy and then brown to make brown butter and add to the batter and mix
- Set Appe / aebleskiver pan on medium heat and brush the rounds with butter
- Spoon the batter ine ach hemispherical mould
- Cook covered till a crust is formed
- Use the pointed wooden turner to slide the semi spherical pancakes halfway out
- Spoon more batter on the side of the pancakes standing halfway out and then flip the semi spherical pancakes over the newly poured batter to form the upper dome
- Cook covered till pancakes are cooked on low to medium heat
- Add a tsp of confectioners sugar to 1 tsp melted butter and brush this mixture like a glaze on the pancakes and flip them to cook on medium heat watching carefully not to let the sugar burn, flip and repeat for the other side. they should have formed a golden brown shiny crust on both sides.
- Plate the pancakes in a stack and dust with freshly ground cinnamon powder and confectioners sugar
- Pour some maple syrup to taste on the pancakes table side and serve some more on the side
