La Michoacana is an ice cream shop in Madison. They specialize in the Mexican style ice cream bars. They carry a huge variety of flavors, many of them very unique.

The unique flavors include tequila and goat cheese but the standard flavors like pistachio etc are really good too. We love their guava too, except for the seeds.

Our favorites pack a punch for a hot summers afternoon. They are the Pina Chile and Mango chile. The fruit is tart and tangy and the ice cream bar sweet till you hit some chile powder. Its very unique and a savory tart treat.
